Decorating
Interior and exterior. Domestic and commercial.
Specialising in all aspects of interior and exterior decoration, with over 40 years of finished rooms and elevations.
Exterior painting

Wallpapering
An art form, hung properly.
Experience hanging wallpaper from the top designers, using expert trade adhesives.
Domestic hanging
Wallpaper can make a wall the focus of a room. Howards hang it wrinkle-free, with no pattern mismatches — from blown vinyl in rental properties to designer papers in houses.
Trade papers
Bryan Yates, Harlequin and Graham and Brown in hotels; Lincrusta in churches; Muraspec wide, hard-wearing vinyl in high-footfall places — hotels, police stations and doctors’ surgeries.
Commercial
Contractors, landlords and housing associations.
Direct to end users, plus new build and refurbishment works.
Workplaces and public buildings
Offices, blocks of flats, schools, hotels and nursing homes. Preparation, efficient working and a finish that meets the published schedule and budget.
A team that can cover the job
A highly knowledgeable team of fully qualified painters and decorators, working from the Talbot Road yard. Experienced painters are also advertised on the recruitment page.
Wall coatings
ProPERLA and Stormdry, as they publish them.
Approved ProPERLA applicators, and Stormdry masonry protection cream — described on their own pages.
ProPERLA. Howards Decorators are published as approved applicators of ProPERLA super hydrophobic coatings. Their page lists reduced water absorption, breathable walls, a self-cleaning exterior surface, and manufacturer guarantees of between 10 and 20 years.
Stormdry. Surfaces power washed; damaged bricks and degraded pointing replaced. They publish BBA and Energy Saving Trust verification, 25-year protection from a single coat, and application by airless spray.
